I wish I could leave lower than 1 star. If you want a provider that cares more about money than their patients, this is the one for you. She has a $200 fee for cancellations less than 24 hours. The only opening she had for me as a new patient was 9am on Mondays. The first time I had a late cancellation was completely my fault, I paid the fee without a complaint. The second time, I submitted the cancellation 7 minutes past the 24 hr deadline Sunday morning. I messaged her asking if there was any way we could waive the late fee as it was less than 10 minutes late. She stated that she could not waive the fee because it would affect her scheduling. I asked her again if there was any room for grace and compassion, I don't know what her schedule looks like but I find it hard to believe that 7 minutes would negatively impact her scheduling. She replied stating "Our practices are businesses and waiving late fees when you don’t follow policies outlined in the consent forms you signed, not only prevents other patients from receiving care who could use that spot, but also doesn’t keep our lights on. Despite what you may believe, it makes a difference for providers financially too." I had 4 scheduled sessions with Niroshika and attended 2. She appeared nice and empathetic, I was not able to gain anything useful from these sessions. I understand that 2 sessions is not enough time to fully assess her capabilities as a provider, but after the cancelation fees I will not be returning.
